With the app for Android and iOS smart watches you can use the navigation function to receive directions and route details directly on your watch.
HOW TO NAVIGATE WITH YOUR APPLE WATCH
Now you can use Apple Watch to navigate your routes. When you’re tracking a route on your phone, you can access navigation information on your watch:
- Directional information similar to what you get on your smartphone.
- Vibration indications when approaching a curve and when you have left the route.
- Information about the distance you have traveled and the distance you have left to travel.
Apple Watch Series 5 and later devices, as well as Apple Watch SE, provide a directional arrow to point you in the direction you need to go. The arrow is located 50 meters ahead of you, being very useful to anticipate the corners and curves of the route.
It is very advantageous to have a smart watch, since information is accessed quickly and conveniently. However, the phone takes care of the navigation, and it is because of this that you still have to carry it with you. If you don’t want to hear your phone’s audible prompts, you can now turn them off directly from your watch.
HOW TO NAVIGATE WITH WEAR OS SMARTWATCHES (ANDROID)
For Android devices, we offer two navigation options: connected to the smartphone or using the autonomous mode. Through this latest functionality, you can download routes and maps directly to your watch.
You will be able to see the following route menu on your smartwatch:
- Routes: a list of all your routes
- Recently Viewed: Routes you have viewed lately
- Nearby routes: routes in the surroundings
Offline content: routes that have been downloaded to the watch
When you download a route to your smartwatch, the app automatically saves a map. Then, using the watch in autonomous mode, you can navigate along the route and see the route and your position on the map.
Alternatively, you can stay connected to your smartphone, in which case it will take care of the navigation and you will receive direction instructions, route information and your current position reflected on the watch.
If your watch has a compass function, it will show you an arrow about 50 meters in front of you. You can slide your finger down the screen to enlarge the arrow for better visibility.
