Places Where you can use Apple Pay

Posted on May 16, 2022September 22, 2023

More and more people are bringing their iPhones closer to their terminals to pay for all kinds of things. Apple Pay is becoming more popular by the day and the number of places you can use it seems to be increasing by the day, as evidenced by regular update emails from Apple.

Apple Pay has become one of the most widely used NFC contactless payment methods in the US, with Canada and the UK not far behind. Keep an eye out if you live in other countries as they won’t be sticking around for long (just a guess, don’t blame us).

There are hundreds of stores in the United States alone that accept Apple Pay. Apple is pushing it into as many retailers’ POS system as possible, as mentioned above. Some of the major stores that currently accept Apple Pay include, but are not limited to:

As mentioned, the list is much longer. Chances are you can use Apple Pay at many nearby stores if you live in a metropolitan area. For example, 65% of all US retailers accept Apple Pay.

You’ll be glad to know that many of the major apps and online stores accept Apple Pay. Even Apple couldn’t keep up with all of them, so here are some of the biggest names for your perusal:

Find stores that accept Apple Pay near you

Fortunately, you don’t have to read the entire list of stores that support Apple Pay. Your iOS device makes it super easy to find places around you that accept Apple Pay. This is what you need to do:

You Can Also Read:

Open the Maps app on your iOS device.

Find the store you want to shop at (you’ll want to use the next step to see if it accepts Apple Pay).
Tap the store location to see more details
Between business hours and reviews, you’ll see a “Helpful to Know” section. Look for the Apple Pay logo or the “Accept Apple Pay” mark.

Otherwise, the store likely won’t accept Apple Pay, or at least not yet. Apple regularly updates the maps with the latest information, so it’s a reliable way to find out if you can use Apple Pay in a certain place.

A contactless future
Apple takes its transaction service very seriously. If you follow the stock market, you may know that iPhone sales have slowed. Therefore, it is one of Apple’s future growth engines.

In fact, Apple is supposed to launch its own credit card, which we can expect in the summer of 2019. In addition to stores and restaurants, Apple is hard at work introducing Apple Pay to universities, nonprofits, and other institutions with profit and others. . Soon you will be able to give money literally by hand (assuming you have your phone in your hand).

If you live outside of the United States, check to see if your bank accepts Apple Pay. Apple partners with many large banks, especially those that do business in the United States.
